A duplex is a dual occupancy house; that is, two homes where each home shares a common wall, making the homes appear as if they are one, when really they are two.
With the modern designs of duplexes today, you can achieve the look and feel of two large homes that contain all the functionality and creature comforts you would expect and a modern new home.

Why invest in a duplex?
Investing in a duplex means increasing the income and value out of your property.
By placing two homes on the one lot (you can either share a title or subdivide and have two). Investing in a duplex means that two people will be paying for the land and if you live in one as an owner/occupier and rent out the other one, you’ll can pay off your mortgage quicker. This way the land value is still there, but two people are paying for it, not one. Remember you don’t need to share a driveway with a duplex, or have multiple neighbours, as you would in an apartment.
